Students steal 'Dredd' helmet on display at GV Vivocity

A group of students was caught on CCTV stealing the helmet of the movie character Dredd that was on display at Golden Village Vivocity, at about 5.15pm on Sep 20.

A Golden Village spokesperson who alerted STOMP to the matter, said:

"A group of students were caught on GV Vivo’s CCTV removing the DREDD movie helmet on display yesterday (20th September) at around 5.15pm.

"The helmet was displayed at GV Vivo as part of a promotional display for the movie DREDD, currently playing in cinemas.

"The group of 6 boys in school uniform can be seen on tape removing the helmet from the display and putting on the helmet whilst swinging a toy sword.

"The movie distributors are treating the case as property theft and would like to appeal to the students to return the helmet immediately.

"Members of the public with information to the safe return of the helmet can contact the Golden Village customer service at customersvc@goldenvillage.com.sg or call +65 6311 9162 during office hours."

LOL!! I really don't understand the point if installing those CCTV which one can see nothing more accept action, can identify face even when there's a crime.

lol, things got taken under one's nose and asking to be returned? why not prevent it in the 1st place. and yes! upgrade the cctv and consider the glare too! doubt the students can be identified? lesson learnt?

Hey GV, time to upgrade your CCTV.. the reason you are appealing to the public is you can't see shit with your CCTV... you sure these students are stealing the helmet?? All I see is one student carrying a basketball..
