STOMPer Commuters feels that the waiting time between trains in Singapore is much too long. He wonders why our MRT train system's frequency cannot match that of other countries like Taiwan.

Commuters wrote:

"I have noticed that the MRT service in Taipei has a 2-minute interval, regardless of it being a peak, or off-peak hour. Even their trains at 3pm and 9.30pm arrive every 2 minutes.

"The interval for our MRT trains varies from 6 to 8 minutes sometimes.

"Why can't our service be improved, to rival their standard? Can we call ourselves the best?"

they have more people than Singapore eh. SMRT service not bad already. (plus, i went taiwan and saw that the people there were generally polite, giving up their seats to people who need it, even though their trains have lesser seats than smrt's)
